National Vietnam War Veterans Day on March 29 honors the men and women who served and sacrificed during the longest conflict in United States history.

On March 29, 1973, combat and combat support units withdrew from South Vietnam. Generations later, Veterans of this time period are gaining the respect that was not so freely given upon their return. Involving five U.S. presidents, crossing nearly two decades and 500,000 U.S.military personnel, it left an indelible mark on the American psyche.

NATIONAL PET DAY
National Pet Day on April 11th dedicates the day to those pets who may not always get the companionship and attention pets deserve. While loving our pets is something we do every day, the observance encourages helping out orphaned pet companions. It will improve their health and enhance their opportunities for adoption.

EfM (Education for Ministry) is a laity program of theological education. The four-year curriculum and small group study is administered by The School of Theology, The University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. Participants enroll a year at a time through the study of Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, and theology respectively. While the course materials provide substantial academic content, the focus of EfM is on life as ministry and understanding that ministry.
