Trinity Marble Falls Foundation

The Trinity Foundation Funds are permanent and reliably managed funds. These funds allow Trinity Church to continue to grow our commitment to ministry. There are many ways of making planned gifts. Each type of gift has its own special benefits.

Origin of the Marble Falls Episcopal Church Foundation

The Trinity Marble Falls Foundation was created in 2012 to manage and oversee Trinity’s investments.  The Foundation was initially funded from a very generous bequest by Dick and Marian Repert.  Though the Foundation is a separate 501c3, all assets are the property of Trinity Episcopal Church (and ultimately, therefore, of the Diocese of Texas).  These funds are managed by the Foundation under the direction of our vestry, and any disbursements from the Foundation must be approved by vestry resolution.  The funds within the Foundation are:

  •      The Trinity Endowment, which distributes 3.5% of an 8-quarter trailing average to the Trinity budget.

  •      The Memorial Fund, which is an undesignated fund made up of memorial donations that have been made to the church.  This fund can be used for special projects at the discretion of the vestry.  The vestry often makes grants out of this fund to support the work of area non-profits.

  •      Maintenance Reserve Fund, which is a sinking fund designated for unbudgeted maintenance costs, such as the purchase of new a/c units.

  • Organ Fund

  •     Contingency Reserve Fund, which is to provide emergency operating funds in the event of a financial crisis, such as the loss of a major donor or any unforeseen event that results in a significant budgetary shortfall. 

 

What these funds have done

  •  Distribute 3.5% of an 8-quarter trailing average to the Trinity budget. In 2024, this amount was $28,862.

  • Built the new Parish Hall.

  • Funded the Parish Audio/Video Projects.

  • In 2023, $20,000 was donated to Highland Lakes Crisis Network to support housing for a deserving family.
